convenient access to nature reserve and historic attractions
It made exploring the area easy for our family with children. The hotel had plenty of space, perfect for accommodating our kids, but the twin bedroom was a bit too bright for a good night's sleep, hard for the kids to settle in.

great access to parks and historical landmarks for city strolls
We stayed for four nights in a two-bedroom house, and I loved how close we were to Kinneil Estate, where we enjoyed lovely walks through the park, and the historic St Michael's Parish Church.

Two-bedroom house offered ample space for a family, with a cozy layout that allowed for both relaxation and activity. The self-catering option provided flexibility for meals, handy for a family on the move.
The twin bedroom was uncomfortably bright, and the beds were surprisingly hard. Furniture around the place had a layer of dust, which didn't give the best impression, along with windows and an unfortunate shower that had mould present. The additional cost of metered electricity in dull weather could be concerning, especially since it felt colder than expected. The location near a refuse tip created a persistent, unpleasant smell, particularly noticeable on the weekend. Communication regarding key access was confusing, with no clear guidance provided, leading to unnecessary hassle.

beautiful scenery, good signage, spacious two-bedroom house
The twin bedroom needed blackout curtains as it was too bright for kids to sleep!!! A much better cleaning routine is essential since all furniture was dusty and the windows left grimy. The location right next to the tip emitted an unbearable smell!!!

We visited the nearby park and enjoyed exploring the fine landscapes. The lodge had all the essentials for a comfortable stay, and we loved chilling out in the spacious two-bedroom house. Definitely recommend for a fun group getaway!
The only downside was a noisy neighbor late at night, which disrupted our sleep a bit.

Just a smart choice for strolling around in Bo'ness with decent value for money. Beds were a bit hard, but we managed to sleep through our stay. Make sure to get clear directions to pick up the keys ahead of time.

Beautiful lodge, great location for exploring Stirling, Glasgow, and Edinburgh. Clean and well-equipped with lovely views of the river and historic railway. Peaceful and quiet with plenty of nearby activities for kids.
Couldn't find any faults at all.

I had a great stay at Hideaway Lodges. The location was peaceful and quiet, with a beautiful river and steam railway nearby. It was the perfect place for walking and exploring the surrounding area of Bo'ness. The lodge itself was clean and had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. Although it was a bit dated, it was well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The owner was also very helpful and obliging, making sure I had a smooth experience. I would definitely recommend Hideaway Lodges for a peaceful getaway.
